Abbreviations

Ch: Chain

St: Stitch

Sc: Single crochet

Dc: Double crochet

Sk: Skip

Sp: Space

Rep.: Repeat

RS: Right side

Special stitches

• Popcorn stitch: dc 6 times in the same st, drop your working loop, insert your hook in the first dc of the 6-dc group, then slip back into the working loop, slip st through the 2 loops on your hook, ch 1 to secure you work.

• The beginning ch 3 is considered as dc.

• The foundation ch should be division of 4 + 5.

• The rectangle Shawl crochet pattern is available in 2 sizes: longer and shorter shawls. The only difference is in the length but the width is the same.

• The pattern is written for the longer shawl with the shorter shawl in parentheses ( ).
