Bow Case | Free Crochet Case Pattern

This bow case is an easy crochet bow pattern for beginners that can be used as:-

  • crochet pencil case

  • crochet makeup bag for makeup brushes

  • crochet hooks bag/case

This crochet pencil case is a cute, easy and fast project to make for beginners. It could a wonderful hanmade gift.

I decided to keep this crochet bow case pattern simple and easy for beginners to understand, so I worked the front and back panels the same. The stitches used in this pattern are single crochet, decrease single crochet and increase single crochet.

As I stated above, the two panels are worked separately and the sides are seamed together with single crochet. And the third panel ( I.e. the rectangular panel I called) is also worked in single crochet and it’s two ends are seamed around the middle of the bow with single crochet.

Finishing

Block the 3 panels.

Seaming

•First, sew 6 beads on one panel ( that would be the front panel).

•Then, take front and back panels place them together with WS facing each other(i.e. front panel with beads is facing upward). Using a new strand of yarn, start seaming each st from both sides of front and back panels together with sc and at both corners make sc, 1ch, sc, instead of 1 sc, in order to prevent the case from bending at the corners.

Leave one side for sewing zipper on.

•After that, sew the zipper using needle and thread, on the side that is left not joined.

•Finally, put the third panel( i.e. the rectangular panel) with WS facing upward, wrap it around the middle of the bow and seam the two ends of the rectangular panel together using sc. Fasten off and weave in the ends. Then, flip the rectangular panel right side out, so that the RS will be facing upward.
